SONICrider - Escaping Gravity

As a contribution to the Pink Dolphin Music free download release "POD"....

Track: Escaping Gravity

For this who love "experimental ambient" and low frequencies :-).

Approach: a constant low sound with some modulation tries to keep other uplifting signals unheard. Slowly the gravity lost control and a more open atmosphere takes over escaping the gravity.

Uesd gear:
- Sevaral VCO's tuned at the same pitch (slightly detuned to add some natural vibration).
- A second group of VCO's tuned at a higher pitch represent the uplifting signals controlled by a 4 channel ADSR shaping their contours.
- The Muno g0 (granular module) player via a Curtis filter creates a chopped layer of sound fragments from low till high pitches.

As FX 2 TipTop Audio Z-DSP's: one as a reverb sith a sort of endless tail and one as a stereo delay at a low volume).

Mixing/masteting: since the recording is done in stereo (sort of live recording) mixing and mastering is done at the some time using a Softie Console 1 (SSL 9000 emulation) doing some EQ and minimal compression.
